NASA Begins Building Nuclear-Powered Dragonfly Drone for Titan Mission
Reports from analysts and supply-chain sources suggest Apple is developing a book-style foldable phone similar to existing foldable devices on the market. Instead of a flip design, the device is expected to open like a small tablet, giving users a larger display for multitasking and media consumption.
The internal display could be close to tablet size when unfolded, while a smaller external screen may allow users to quickly check notifications or use basic apps without opening the device.
Leaks suggest the device could start at around $1,999, which would place it among the most expensive iPhones ever released.
Even so, the foldable iPhone will likely remain a premium product targeted at early adopters and technology enthusiasts.
Most analysts believe Apple could launch its foldable iPhone in September 2026, possibly during the same event as the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max.
Foldable smartphones have already been popularized by companies like Samsung and Google. Apple has been slower to adopt the technology, likely waiting until it can deliver a more refined user experience.
The foldable iPhone could represent one of Apple’s biggest design changes in years. With a tablet-like screen, premium hardware, and a high price tag, it may redefine what an iPhone can do.
If the rumors prove correct, Apple fans may finally see the company’s first foldable phone when the iPhone 18 lineup arrives in 2026.
